Greetings all, and welcome
to Not Everything is About Science, the first and only site
dedicated to the characters and relationship of Joan of Arcadia's
Luke Girardi and Grace Polk. The show may have been cancelled,
but we're still alive and kicking here as NEiAS and we'll be staying
open as long as we can keep paying our dues. Upcoming Appearances:
Michael Welch Recent Updates: 05/19/08: Seriously? It's been a month? All these new goodies to add and it took me this long? That probably says a lot about me, as a person. My excuse, though, is a good one. I've been spending the last couple of weeks preparing the gallery for the new Michael Welch Fan Site (open today!). All videos and screen caps from Michael and Becky's recent appearances are all now up and ready to go. Sadly, I must follow this up with some not so great, but inevitable, news. I've decided that, once my webspace is up for the year, NEiAS.net will be closing down. It's not that I don't care anymore, it's just that the reason I have been keeping it online since Joan of Arcadia's cancellation is so anyone interested would be able to keep up with Michael and Becky's careers. With BW.net and, now, the MW fan site, it seems redundant. Plus, as it usually is, money was also a big issue in this decision. I simply cannot afford to keep this site open. In the next few weeks, I'll be uploading zipped collections of all the screencaps for anyone who's interested. January is a long way off, though, and I do plan to continue updating the site from time to time until then. Fortunately, this will not be the last you'll see of your friendly neighborhood Shadowcrawler. I still have BW.net, and plan to keep it going for a good while, since it's hosted on my personal webspace. I'm also co-web over at the new MW site, so you'll see me over there from time to time, being ranty and conceded, as per my usual. It's been a great run and I've really enjoyed my time here. I'm honestly surprised I've generated enough site traffic to justify keeping the site open even this long after the show was cancelled. It has been three years, after all, so that's something, I think, for everyone to be proud of. 04/18/08: April seems to be a rather busy month, doesn't it? I just found out from top men (top. men.) that Becky will be on Women's Murder Club on Tuesday, April 29, at 10:00pm on ABC. Funny enough, she'll actually be going up against Michael's last episode of The Riches. 04/17/08: It seems I may have lied in regard to my capping conquests. However, the caps from The Riches (Dear Minni Driver - please knock it off with the atrocious accent. Southerners do not speak that way. Thank you.) are up, and have been since the day after each respective episode has aired. Also added the video over in Michael's video section. Still trying to figure out which clips to use from Day of the Dead, as I am not about to upload what would essentially be the entire movie. On the DotD screencap front, Coppermine is having the same fit with it that it seems to be having with Becky's K-Ville caps (though, the BW.net gallery let me add them with no issues whatsoever so who knows). However, I am not about to disappoint my loyal followers, so I give you this J-Album placeholder. Actually, I really like the flow of its presentation, so I tried a mock gallery with multiple albums. I must say, I really hate the index layout. But the navigation within actual gallery is so much easier than Coppermine (you can use your keyboard! or play the slideshow!) that I'm considering just making my own index page and moving the entire gallery. We'll see how that goes. 04/07/08: Hello once again my friends. It's been quite awhile, so lets get right down to it. I'm sure anyone who frequents this site knows by now about the monstrous amount of stuff on Michael Welch's plate right now, so I'll spare you all repeating of it and simply list the things important right now, not in the future. Tomorrow, Day of the Dead will be out on DVD. Lucky me with my connections got my hands on a copy of it this afternoon. I haven't watched it yet, and I'm sure it's going to be bad in the best kind of way, but I'll try to get some screencaps up sometime early in the day tomorrow (if Coppermine decides it wants to cooperate). I'm going to wait a week or two before adding any video, though. If you're in that much of a hurry, rent it. Or buy it. Michael also begins his four-episode run on The Riches starting tomorrow. That one I will go ahead and add video for, hopefully on Wednesday sometime, since it will be airing on TV. In Becky news, her episode of Bones has been rescheduled for the trillionth time, and will now air on Monday, April 28. They might as well just hold it off another week for May sweeps. 02/29/08: Greetings, all. Your friendly neighborhood Shadowcrawler here with an update that can only be made once every four years. (Is it weird that the US chose leap year for it's presidential elections? Or was leap year created special just for them? The conspiracies, they abound!) As everyone who visits this site is most likely already aware, lots of news on the Michael Welch front. I suggest visiting his official website for more information, as I am far too lazy today to type it all up. The gist of it is, though, that he's been cast in the movie adaptation of Twighlight, which apparently is a really popular book series, given how many fan mixes I've seen in the livejournal fanmix community. Personally, reading the summary of the series, it sounds...I don't want to say stupid, because that's not exactly the right word. It's like Romeo and Juliet, except the guy is a vampire instead of from a rival family, and I happen to find Romeo and Juliet one of the worst love stories ever told, and anyone who holds that up as an example of perfect love needs to be shot because they don't deserve to breed. But that's a rant for a completely different time and place.
02/08/08: Hey! Remember me?
Your friendly neighborhood Shadowcrawler? No? I don't blame you. I
have been rather M.I.A. for quite awhile, and for that I am sorry. Second order of business, the air date for Becky's episode of Bones is now Monday, April 14, 2008. That is still subject to change, because Fox seemed to have a liking for shuffling this episode around, as this is its fourth air date. Third order of business, Becky was on the finale of K-Ville back on December 17, which I did manage to get up on BWNet. And now I've finally managed to bring them over here. Well, at least the video. I'm having some kind of issue with Coppermine today. Rock on. Also, not warranting another order of business, I've uploaded BW's caps and clip from Ghost Whisperer here as well. Fourth order of business, I have recently become aware that some people have been having problems accessing the website. If you were one of those people, things should be okay now. My website ran out in January and automatically renewed itself, but there may have been a few days of lag between the end and the day that it renewed. There shouldn't have been, but really, when are things ever as they should? Still, if you continue to have issues with the site, let me know. |
