2007

11/09/07: Hello all! As you'll note by the upcoming appearances, there seemed to be some confusion over the airdate of MW's episode of CSI: Miami. The real air date is this coming Monday, November 12. Also, Becky will be appearing in an episode of Bones (YAY!) on Tuesday, November 27. That is a tentative air date at this point, due to FOX rearranging their schedule due to the WGA strike (to whom I send all my best wishes and good luck in hopes that they can finally squeeze out a fair deal out). Keep checking in for updates on that as they become available, but for now, go ahead and set those DVRs and TIVOs. Or, if you're like me and still have a dinosaur for a pet, your VCR.

Will get Becky's Ghost Whisperer stuff up soon. Gotta NaNo.

10/31/07: I had no idea it's been so long since I've updated this site. Hope everyone is having a great Halloween today. Don't eat too much candy. Not because it's bad for you, but because you need to save it for snacking in the next few days when both Michael and Becky will be appearing on two of CBS's top shows (do not ask my why these two shows are top shows; I've long since stopped trying to understand the average American tv-viewing mind). Becky will be on Ghost Whisperer this Friday at 8:00pm EST, while Michael will be appearing on CSI: Miami next Monday, November 5, at 10:00pm EST. (Seriously, I love you both, but if these are the jobs you keep getting, you really need to fire your agents. Clearly, the world revolves around me, because I don't think you should keep making me watch such horrible, horrible televisions. But alas, I cannot help myself. At least I'm not a Neilson family. Then we might have to have some serious words.)

Anyway. Today's update is a rather small, but much needed one. I've added some new screen caps to the gallery from Michael's recent appearance on Numbers (which I refuse to spell with the stupid 3), as well as one video clip since that was the only scene wherein he had actual lines of talking.

I make no guarantees on when I'll be able to get all of the media from CSI: Miami and Ghost Whisperer up, as I have signed my soul away to NaNoWriMo this year. Since it's the beginning of the month, I should be able to get them up within a day or two of the show airing. And that's all I've got for you for now.

05/16/07: I've just added screen caps and video for Michael's appearance on Law and Order: SVU last night. He did a great job, even though the show is kind of...less than stellar. My only complaint is, while he's still totally adorable, it's time for a haircut. For real.

05/06/07: This just in from AbsoluteWelch.com (well, not just in, they've actually had the info for a week), Michael has signed for two new movies: As a supporting character in a film titled An American Son starring Nick Canon, which is about a young man's last week at home before being shipped to Iraq. (Irrelevant side note: Does Hollywood even acknowledge that there are women fighting this war too? I mean, I have a couple friends over there, and it really bugs when the only representation our female soldiers are getting is being a murderer on Bones and going AWOL on Over There. And that movie with Jessica Biel doesn't count.)

The other role is the lead in an independent film, Lost Dreams, that's set to start filming in May. Thanks again to Absolute Welch for keeping everyone up to date on Michael's career.

Also of note: I was lucky enough to get my hands on a hi-res promotional still from Becky's guest shot on Grey's Anatomy this week. You can view it in the B-W.Net gallery.

05/04/07: Added screen caps and video clips of Becky's appearance on Grey's Anatomy last night. If you missed it, you can catch the re-play tonight at 8:00pm EST on ABC.

05/03/07: Becky Wahlstrom is appearing on tonight's Grey's Anatomy at 9:00 EST on ABC. Be sure to tune in!

04/27/07: Just a quit update to add an awesome comic from Libad to the fan art gallery, and to let everyone know that the website for one of Michael's upcoming films, Choose Connor is online, complete with a trailer. Michael only has one quick appearance in the trailer, but here's a cap of it:

04/22/07: So, what's everyone up to? Decide that you would just pop on by your trusty old NEiAS in search of some good old fashioned Joan of Arcadia  nostalgia, only to find that it isn't exactly what you remembered? Well, that's true, but it's certainly no run of superstitious bad luck for you. What you see here is the result of me, your friendly neighborhood Shadowcrawler, being bored and unemployed at the moment.

There haven't been too many changes as far as content. I've uploaded a few more videos, changed the gallery to something far more convenient, and added some more photos and screencaps as well from various Michael and Becky solo appearances. Videos have been moved over to the new media section (which is just videos, so don't ask me why it isn't called "videos" anymore). I've not yet decided what will join them there. External links and webmaster contact information can now be found in the site section. And, after much thought, I've opted to do away with the NEiAS forum. It was a difficult and rather sad decision, but the fan base is dwindling and after the previous forum became overrun with spam, I figured it best to just say goodbye to that particular sense of community. The Luke/Grace yahoo group Chemical Breakdown is still open and always accepting new members.

In actor related news, Michael will be appearing on an upcoming episode of Law and Order: SVU, which is currently scheduled to air on May 15, 2007. He'll also be appearing in several films that will be coming out this year, including Day of the Dead and An American Crime. According to IMDB, Becky's also appearing in an upcoming film, The Strip, with Dave Foley. No information on when or if it will be released, as it appears to be very, very independent. I'll check in again once I learn more.

In addition to redoing this site, in December, I decided to make a fansite for Becky, Becky-Wahlstrom.net. There you can find much of what I have here, but there are several more Joan of Arcadia videos, as well as some videos from the JoA DVD special features, as well as some of her other works that I've purposefully left off of NEiAS (I have to give you some motivation to go there, don't I?). There is a (rather inactive) forum there as well, complete with a special Joan of Arcadia subsection, if you would like to join and converse there. The spam security on this one is far better than either of the NEiAS forums have had.

I hope any of you still checking by the site from time to time are having good post-JoA lives. I'd like to let you know that this site will still be around until at least January, 2008, as that's when my domain and webspace come up for renewal. Whether or not I keep the site open after that will depend upon my monetary situation at that time, and if there is still any interest from anyone, anywhere. If I do decide to shut down Not Everything Is About Science, rest assured that I will most likely keep the webspace and shift the focus to a Michael Welch fansite.

As always, if you have any problems, feel free to e-mail me.

2006

08/06/06 - Joan of Arcadia Season Two DVD update! TVshowsondvd.com has pretty much confirmed a release date of November 28, 2006. Just in time for your various holidays. They've also posted a first look at the cover art:

You can view a full size version here. That's all the information there is at the moment, but I'll be sure to post as soon as I spot it up for preorder.

Also, keep your eyes on the site, because I'm prepping another update with some more caps and clips from MW and BW's other appearences.

06/26/06 - Just a heads up that Becky has done a short film for the Instant Films 48 hour film festival. The film, Smash (which quite hilariously spoofs Academy Award-winning Crash), won Best Film and Best Screenplay at the festival. You can view the video here, on Google Video. Keep an eye out on the Instant Films website to see if they put a slightly better quality video of it up, like with their other films, including Becky's other short, The Curse of the Hideous Gimp.

I also added a new music video of mine that I just finished up. You can either download it here, or over in the Fan Zone. Also in the fan zone are some fics that I hijacked from the always fantastic Wizened Cynic. Go read them, I command it.

In DVD News, this site has Joan of Arcadia Season Two slated to be released on September 26, 2006. There's no word on whether or not this is a definitive release date, or just a rumor. I'll be watching the interweb very closely for the next few weeks and will post here as soon as I find any other information.

06/09/06 - I told you guys, we aren't going anywhere. Look at our shiny new layout! Would I really leave all this behind after taking the time to do all this? I think not. As you can see, the organization has also changed slightly. Character and actor biographies can now be found in the guidebook, and all fan art, fan fic, song lists, and other fan related content has been shifted over to the new Fan Zone.

To celebrate our new layout, I've redone all of our screen caps so you can all have new, full resolution images of your favorite TV couple. I've also taken the liberty of adding a few clips from Michael's guest shot on Stargate SG-1 and am currently working on getting some clips from Becky's role in the movie Lucky 13. I also added a couple new music videos, and created a brand spanking new forum for you guys to go play in.

That's all for now, but I'll be back soon. Enjoy.
